InterventionsIntervention Group:
Targeted information on location of pedestrian injuries and effective interventions to prevent such injuries.

Control Group:
General information on children's injuries.

Both trial arms have duration of 27 months from issuing of intervention and control packs in October - November 2005 to follow up in January 2008.
Primary outcome measure(s)Number of road safety interventions (traffic calming features, road safety education, 20 mph zones and safe routes to school) in intervention and control areas 25 months post-randomisation.
Secondary outcome measure(s)Councillors¿ interest in road safety and self-efficacy in intervening to prevent pedestrian injury in their wards.
