Participants - inclusion criteria
|
30 males and females aged between 18-60 having mild to moderate learning disabilities and an IQ of between 40-69.

Interventions
|
Randomised trial within and between groups. Structured interview following presentation of five film clips. The structured interview will include five different styles of questions (line drawings, photographs, open-ended, closed and either/or questions). The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) will be used to analyse the data.

Primary outcome measure(s)
|
Questionnaire. Improved understanding of the effectiveness of various methods used to assess the state of people with learning disabilities emotions. To inform psychologists of the most effective strategy to elicit emotional state within therapeutic sessions.
