1. Patients with any type of severe eating disorder
2. 18 to 60 years
3. Living in central Oxfordshire or Leicestershire
4. Available for treatment

Participants - exclusion criteria

1. Patients who have been previously exposed to either of the two treatments
2. Pregnancy
