Study hypothesis
|
Evaluation of the development and implementation of evidence-based guidelines for two key important clinical areas (TIAs and AF) in primary care.
The implementation of evidence-based guidelines on the treatment and prevention of TIAs and AF in Bradford will produce direct patient benefit. The guidelines will lead to improved quality and consistency of clinical care as well as appropriate and efficient use of local health services. The results of the evaluation will be used to inform purchasers and providers of health care about effective and practical strategies for implementing effective health care to prevent stroke. The study will provide the NHS and PCTs with a practical model for implementation as well as adding to the knowledge base of the Cochrane Collaboration.
