Interventions 50% randomised to ultrasound screening. Surveillance of patients with detected AAA. All subjects considered for surgical AAA repair if clinical need.
Primary outcome measure(s) Prevalence and incidence of AAA in men and women 65 - 80 years of age in community.
Secondary outcome measure(s) The effect of AAA screening on mortality from AAA and AAA surgical workload.
